ever since the beginning of the treacherous new cell groups.

its so strange and sad w/o both of you :(

all i can remember is our good friday night, where we ran around and around and i fell down while jumping off the extremely short "staircase" and landed on my butt. hahahaha!

We have been called the salt and the light of the earth before right? Really cool know, but do you even know what it means? Firstly we understand it simply as be a blessing to the world.

From what i understand simply, salt, we people need salt, we give them the blessing to live(correct me if im wrong).

For light? Walked into your room where there is darkness? And fear starts to come, but when you turn on the light? MONSTER!! ASK GOD TO DESTROY IT!!! ok..... jokin.... Theres nothing there but beauty. You see, darkness hides things, which brings fear, it hides whats truely there, it hides God.

God created the heavens and the earth, we created the thing in the world, so are the things in the world ours? Not really, No God, no us. Then you think its unfair, but dnt you think you're happy today? Is not the Love of a God not enough? He could wipe you off the face of the earth for sinning but no, our father loves us, his children.

Then why doesnt God just give me a ps3... why cant i just hav that God, if i have that i'll be happy and serve you!

The child wants a gun but the father knows its bad so he says no! I want it pls! i'll be a good boy! you see now?

then the father brings him away to another stall with the boy cryin dnt you love me? i thought you loved me.. And soon the father gives him some new water pistol! YaY!

We sometimes forget how much our God has given us, we want somethin but dnt get it, you know Y? He has somethin better for us.

You've seen alywins video on rain, i coulden help but cry that instant, but Nvm some times we ask God, Where are you lord, i need you...

Some people get a ps3 and say thank you lord! God is with me!

Anyway, as i'm acting for coming Easter Play, I'm also inviting my parents down for the first time! Please pray for their salvation. I really hope God can instill something of Him in them. Then most of my bars will be lifted and free!

Also I would like everyone of you to keep my English Tutor, Miss Ong, in prayer. She is in her Late 30s but her lungs are as bad as an 80 year old woman's. She cannot breathe properly, and has only half a lung working. She is living on an oxygen tank everyday, every hour and every minute. Pray that God will slowly cure her lungs, and that she will receive healing. I don't know how, but I believe its possible. She has already survived through 2008 into 2009 which by scientific terms is impossible. She is also a strong woman of faith in God. An amazing person, and is wasted to see such good life in tragedy. Please pray for her!

It is only by God's grace, where miracles will come.

My brother just got readmitted to the hospital again yesterday morning.
We all don't know what's wrong with him.
Doc says it's a lung infection, but this is the fourth time he's going back there.

I have somethin for the Lord's people out there, i dont care if you like it or not, but i'm showin it..

These days are dark and the nights are cold, people actin like they lost their soul, and everywhere i go, i see the pain, even in people i know, tryin to make it feel like home, like home.

And right now, i'm tryin to catch my breath, tryin not to freeze to death, i dont know whats left but to live for God, have i forgot?

The lord's face is stuck in my mind, doin my best so this is not the last time, last time. At times like this we have to start thinkin, cause every sec passes the clock's still tickin, i'm not tryin to freak anyone out, not tryin to be dramatic, i'm just thinkin out loud,so loud.

So when you think of sin, dump in in the dam bin, friends are always there, look for her or him.
So right now i can only pray, that today, tomorro is better then yesterday, just yesterday.

Now please dont cry and try to comply, every body here now has the Lord's might, be in the light, be with the lord, use your sword, i say LOL and the dot dot dot...

hey everyone I failed again.

yeah my 4th rejection, the biggest blow ever.

So when the un-list me from touch rug, i cried all the way home. Hardcore for 2 hours, non stop.

So I joined Hockey, part-time cheer leading.

JC orientation is really fun!(ended today)

kept dancing like mad.

My class is really awesome &fun; even though there are only 4 boys and like 16 girls.

It's a literature class (cool right, artsy fartsy)

We have tons of cool kids!!!!!!

but, see most of them come to th school with friends.

Even if they didn't, they found cliques.

Arg, hate cliques. Everyone but me, has cliques.

Tired like hell.

I really want to sleep.

my exams are coming (theory piano).

I wish I had someone to confide in.

Someone going through JC with me.

One year older would be fine too.

We had a Principle's dialogue session and my friend and I raised the Qn on why Touch accepted only less than 20 girls.

Then after, Neil came up to give a suggestion.

"This is just a suggestion but if the girls want to play Rugby so much, why don't you ask the boys to train the girls?"

All of us were like "awwwwwwwww".

Omgosh, cute right.

Our school's Contact Rugby is merit sports

so they are relatively good.

And omgosh, PJC has alot of look-a-likes and stuff,

but i have no one to "gossip" with. :(

I learnt something.

May not apply to any of you, but i realized that moral support during

1. "Solitary" O Levels (like when your mom doesn't allow you to go to church cuss of exams)

2. Advancement of Levels/Seasons of Life (Sec to JC/Poly)

3. Treading New Waters

is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very important.

And it helps - alot.

God, it's getting boring..

I believe everyone (and especially youths) come to this phase of their walk with God when they feel that, "It's so boring.. Church is boring (YF in this regard), the CG is boring, being a Christian is boring." I know, because I've been through it many times before in my teenage days. That's not to say that now I'm all holy and righteous and do not face down times in my walk with God. But over the years I've learnt that this feeling of "boredom" and "lack of passion" is not a result of the activities (or inactivity) of the church or ministry or the people. It's not even because of the common complain that "God is far away from me." So what is it about?

Simple.

You.

Yes, you! It's about our personal walk with God, and our daily time spent with him. As you all know (something that I don't think I have to nag about), doing QT is important. Some take it as a "religious function", doing it because if they don't they'll feel guilty. However, if we were to live in a life of guilt, then as we forget to do QT each day, the guilt will grow and consume us eventually. We'll feel that we're too "guilty" to be "worthy" of being a child of God, and thus we fall away. Where is the freedom that Jesus promised us then? Therefore, that is not the correct motivation to do QT. Instead, our motivation should be because we WANT to hear from God through His Word, and we WANT to talk to God (prayer) about our daily lives - the good and bad stuff and the thanksgivings and complains - and wait to hear from Him as we reflect through what we read (meditate).

Recently, or rather in the month of January, I went through IHAD (It's not a magical "ooooh" thing or something that people go through just because they have sinned gravely, so dispel that myth. It's part of the discipleship process as well.) and Chin Teck shared a verse with me.

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want." -Gal 5:16-17

THERE'S THE ANSWER!

The sinful nature, which is our human nature, our flesh, goes against the Holy Spirit in us. It wants the opposite of what the Holy Spirit in us wants to do. The sinful nature does not want to read the Bible, it does not want to speak to God lest wait on Him, it does not want to consecrate ourselves and it does not want to even think of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. THEREFORE, LIVE BY THE SPIRIT! I took this and ran with it. And daily as I consciously remind myself of it, I started to "force" myself to do what the Spirit in me wants to do. Like the apostle Paul, I "beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." (1 Cor 9:27) Ever since then, I realised there's a change in my time spent in prayer. Not just the time, but the quality of prayer. As I begin to read the Word, I wanted more of it (until I nearly missed my lecture because I was hiding at the stairs reading and got so absorbed into it, praying and reflecting as I read along). As I began to fast weekly (something I NEVER thought I could do), I sensed the hunger in me begin to grow. The hunger for the things of God, the intimacy with Jesus, and for you my beloved ones. And here's my confessions as I end this post:

1) I may not call you and chat on the phone regularly, but I would want to start if you guys don't mind talking on the phone and sharing with me your lives.

2) I might not initiate to talk to you on MSN much, but when I do it means I have something to share. In fact, you can always initiate to talk to me.

3) I might not see you during the week, but I'll want to meet you during the week for dinner and spend time together (not as an entire CG but groups).

4) I think of you daily and pray earnestly for you.

5) I think of you daily and pray earnestly for myself to grow so that I can be a good shepherd.

6) I love you so much that I cry when I pray for you (more so for some, and I think you know who you are).

7) I long to see breakthroughs in your walk with God and your life (whatever issues you might be facing in school/family/with friends, etc) and I believe that you can if you want it. (It holds true that if you want something badly you will do something about it.)

There, 7 confessions. Perfect. It's been a long post, but if you've read till here from the top, I believe something was planted in your heart. Go, grow, glow. =)

JC Life Sharing

Actually wanted to share this during testimonial time but last YF there wasn't so i was quite disappointed hahahahahah.

Before you guys ask me anything, I'm in PJC now.

P for Pioneer Junior College/Science Stream(opting to Arts sadly)

Scored 11/14.

Anyway just want to share with you all my JC life now.

It has been a real roller coaster ride on the mind and body

It's ultra hectic and we end school at wee hours of the day.

Meaning 4.30pm. Now its rather irregular though because of orientation.

Then the worst thing is that PJC is at Choa Chu Kang!!!!!!!

That is like, 30000 miles away from home.

&becuz i've never been there before in my untir3 life, i got lost like a couple of times.

so yah, super L053r right. (heheehehehhehe)

First day of school as usual was really lonely.

Furthermore I only had 1 friend. &the rest of the school seemed to have clicks.

So I was quite sad. Through the day i wanted to cry, yes cry!!!!

I know I sound like a Kindergarten child, but crying on first day has became a vicious cycle.

Cry on every first days. ahahha i'm serious.

When things started to turn for the better, PJC has hot guys &girls man,

Made a few friends, cool loners like me hahahahah.

God played a vicious trick on me!

I was only given 2 subject combination choices.

H2 Chem Econs History/Geog and H1 Math.

Which was terrible becuz i didn't know any geog nor history!!!!!

Couldn't do H2Math because I didn't have Amath background.

I needed H2 Math. For my University Course (kind of).

So typically, Appeal!

My sub combi results day last friday 6th Feb, &I got rejected 3 times that day.

Firstly, I got rejected by the schools i appealed to namely SAJC and CJC. So thats 2 rejects.

Then PJC had to reject my Appeal!!!!!

Omgosh, i was like so mad. Because the teacher initially gave me hope, which is FALSE! hope.

Spoke the teacher, he literally snubbed me.

Speaking obnoxiously of my mathematical disability to take A level Math.

Angry and Sad, i decided to opt for Arts Stream(90% should be able to get in).

H2 China Studies(super weird right but hahahahah), Economics and Literature & H1 Math.

(i think all of you don't understand what i'm talking about right, its ok just read my suffering &sympathize me)

At JC its like best if you have a CCA to join and spice up your JC life.

So i decided on TOUCH RUGBY!!!!!!!!!!!

it's like my dream CCA.

i know you're laughing. Stop laughing ok. (you're prolly thinking "hahahah sandy & sports?!")

I really joined. I'm like prolly the worse runner but I'm cool ok. i can pass the ball properly.

But due to overwhelming response, we had 60 over applicants joining Touch Rugby,

They have to shortlist! All i hope for now is that they won't kick me out

We had trials, another one to kick us out again maybe on wed.

I'm not very confident. hahaha

Pray for me ok. Pray i will get into the Team &that each day i will still have time for God.

JC life is super tiring, I knocked out every single night hahahahahah.

HI ALL! Yay, second post liao! Ppl got nothing to post? NVM, hope every 1's havin fun and living for God! Wat i wanna share about is reminders AGAIN... And that i had almost given up(backslide), incase u dont know, i had not been readin the bible, wanted to skip today and maybe even quit church. But God did not turn a deaf ear to me, and so my passion was set ablaze once more. This his bible verse spoke to me,

1 CORINTHIANS 15:58 > Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

I learnt alot today, for the whole worship session, i didnt even open my mouth nor lifted my hands or jump, not even kneel when every one else did (cool sia, i was the only 1 standing that time) and for the 1st time got to see properly wat happens during worship. NVM, Only later i knew God wanted me to come today so i could be revived.

Not trying to boast here but let you all know that God is faithful, that he does what he says in his word. Plus i want to let u all know that it is not ok to take breaks from ur christian life, remember ups and downs may come often but no matter wat dont give up, the Lord is there for you. If anyone has problems, i believe no one is too busy for you so share ur probs if we may help, and if you see someone with probs? Go help him/her 1st, not let the ppl find you.

Yayyyyy happy merry belated Christmas!

this camp was different but yet awesome
and i believe in some ways or another, God touched all our hearts!
even though something happened to our beloved brother, Roy...
but from this incident, we see how much we mean to each other.
how we can cry/worry together and have each other by our side.
and how we can laugh and be merry together when we see roy's rosy cheeks and his smile.
God has been faithful yes?
Even though so many things happen, God never tear us apart but instead pull us closer together.

like what LAO DA say, "let's go help those who want yet struggle to come back, and reach out to those that have slipped far away and bring them back."
If we set our heart to it, this CG can be back to what it used to be.
MOST Happening, BIGGEST cell.
So let's pray together and encourage each other in our daily walk with God!
Keeping those backslided ones close to our hearts and constantly keep them in prayers.

and don't forget all the NONG NONG(S), let us get to know them more, bring them to Christ and ask God to work in their lives like how He is working in ours.

Being a Tribe Leader has taught me ALOT. I'm really grateful, Alywin, even though you kind of "forced" me, but i think i didn't regret instead i learn alot about leadership and making decisions, putting others before myself and getting out of my comfort shell. :)

That's my motto for the year 2009, personally and for the CG as well!

I believe all of us have received much from YAF Camp, and I believe this time round it is definitely not based on "feeling" and "high", but a real conviction of God in everyone of us. It is time to let go of the past and enter into the Promised Land. A new place of hope and joy and riches.

I really hope to see this CG grow to become Christ-centered. I hope that we will grow such that all our actions, speech, intentions, thoughts and behaviour will be directed by Jesus, and He will be enthroned in our lives and the CG. Let's grow in spiritual knowledge and depth, so that we can truly understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ and not have a shallow faith, but rather, a faith that is deeply rooted in the Word of God.

Let's press on regardless of the seasons in life and the circumstances around us. Let's support one another and really BE brothers and sisters in Christ - ohana.

And let's shed our old inward perspective but begin to look outwards in building relations with people from the other CG and even new friends that enter the YF. Let's grow into a CG that genuinely loves PEOPLE - no matter how unlovable they may be in human's eyes - and begin to want to make friends with everyone that steps into the YF.

Lastly, let's go help those who want yet struggle to come back, and reach out to those that have slipped far away and bring them back.

The mission of Christ is not to see perfect lives, but rather to see lives CHANGED. That is what I hope our CG will capture and live out. Firstly to see our own lives changed by Christ, and then to go out and spread the love of Christ in hopes to see the lives around us being changed too by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

My dears, let's get serious and real about Christ. Through thick and thin, sadness and happiness, sunshine or rain, joy or pain, let's support one another! COME ON COME ON COME ON! ALALALALALALALA! =D

Wazzup kids!
I think after camp Young and Faithful we ought to step it up and wake up our idea(s).

It's apparent we're falling apart,
but we can change this max core.
Am so going to go through this with ya'll.

So this is our new CG blog,

So we went to visit Roy and he is out of ICU. (Yay Jesus for that!)
